Mr. McCarry has played a significant role in my life during many of my most formative years. His mentorship and coaching style helped shape my work ethic, my ability to collaborate effectively with others, and many other qualities that have contributed to my personal and professional success. Patrick approached every interaction and teachable moment with positivity, thoughtfulness, and purpose, making each experience both meaningful and valuable. I have consistently looked up to him for his knowledge, leadership, and example.

Patrick McCarry is an exceptional coach whose dedication is evident in everything he does. It is clear that he genuinely cares about his students and is dedicated to supporting them and setting them up for success.

He conducts himself with professionalism, intelligence, honor, and grace. I highly and truly recommend Mr. McCarry to anyone seeking a coach or mentor with exceptional skills, a collaborative approach, and the qualities of an outstanding educator.

Patrick tutored my daughter for GCSE and it is fair to say that to begin with she was not an enthusiastic student of Mathematics. But Pat is an excellent tutor, with a good sense of humour, a ready laugh and a great deal of experience which enabled him to rapidly develop trust and rapport. Because of this he was also able to quickly identify and then focus on areas of the subject that needed strengthening.  I think that teenagers can tell when they are dealing with someone who cares about them; Pat is the genuine article and this comes across.  He has excellent communication skills and seems to pitch the lessons at just the right level to get the information across clearly, patiently and thoroughly.  In addition to the subject matter Patrick brings his personality to the lessons and looks to instil enthusiasm for Maths both on the syllabus but also as a prism through which to experience everyday life.  My advice to any parent looking to either fire up their teenager's passion for Maths or stretch their capability to reach a higher level is to try a series of sessions with Patrick.

We came to Pat for GCSE Maths Tutoring last year, as Maths was not my sons strongest point, previous maths test at school put him at a GSCE Grade 3 and thought he could do with one on one Tutoring. I really liked how Pats relaxed manor and patience gave my son the boost and confidence he needed. I am pleased to say with Pats hard work and dedication my son got a GCSE Grade 5. We couldn't be happier and my son is pleased he had enough marks to go on to sixth-form. I would highly recommend Pat.

Pat's personal approach and professional expertise have benefitted so many youngsters for many years. The Hidden World of Maths, tailoring strategies that will equip every learner with the skills to accelerate both their confidence and their positive experience of maths in education and in life, is an exciting opportunity for all. I believe that what Pat offers and how he delivers maths is a huge step forwards for parents and their children, who are keen to discover the magic of maths and overcome the significant barriers currently hindering their success. He is an inspiration as a tutor, teacher, mentor, coach and human being.

Pat has been a fantastic Maths tutor my son. He helped him through both his GCSE and A-Level exams, enabling him to secure a place at his first choice university.

He really helped build my son’s confidence, especially with problem-solving. We definitely have Pat to thank for helping set our son up with a strong foundation in Maths for his Mechanical Engineering degree. I would recommend Pat with absolutely no hesitation.

I highly recommend Pat’s maths tutoring. Pat is friendly, approachable, and welcoming. He takes a fun and engaging approach to teaching maths, and took the time to get to know our daughter. Over six months of lessons leading up to my daughter’s GCSEs, Pat significantly boosted her confidence and understanding, helped her develop a more positive attitude towards maths, and provided targeted support in areas where she previously struggled. His guidance made a noticeable difference. My daughter enjoyed her lessons with Pat and worked hard to achieve an excellent GCSE result.

Pat has been tutoring my two sons for a couple of years, and in that time their maths skills have improved enormously. Even more importantly, they have developed a genuine love for the subject.
Pat has been fantastic at adapting to online lessons, and has gone far beyond simply teaching. He has encouraged, supported, and motivated them throughout, always helping them overcome any challenges along the way. We are truly grateful.

Pat tutored my son for GCSE maths. Pat is extremely approachable and immediately engaged my son, especially through their shared love of Liverpool football team! Pat made the sessions enjoyable and my son improved from a mock grade 6 to a final grade 7. We were so pleased and we’ve referred Pat to several friends who have also utilised his services for their children and been equally impressed. Pat is a great tutor, and I highly recommend him.

Over the course of several years, Pat has provided invaluable support to both my daughter and my son throughout their time at secondary school. His guidance has made a significant difference in their understanding and confidence in maths.

Pat is an incredibly patient, dedicated, and approachable tutor. He has a unique ability to break down complex mathematical concepts into simple, easy-to-understand steps. His calm and encouraging manner creates a positive learning environment, where students feel comfortable asking questions and exploring topics at their own pace.

What truly sets Pat apart is his ability to make learning enjoyable. He finds creative and engaging ways to present the material, which has helped my children not only grasp the subject more easily but also develop a genuine interest in it.

I can’t recommend Pat highly enough. Whether your child is struggling, aiming to boost their grades, or simply wants to deepen their understanding of maths at any level, Pat is an outstanding choice.

Pat tutored both of my daughters for 2 years each to get them ready for the 11+. Both of them did extremely well and secured a place in grammar school. Pat was brilliant with them, they are both very different personalities and he flexed his style accordingly, making the tutoring sessions fun yet stretching and ensuring they had homework to do for the following week. He is patient, sympathetic and above all is really passionate about learning. I would recommend him without hesitation. Thank you Pat!

Meet the “Maths Whisperer”!
Pat has been tutoring our kids for a number of years and his ability to breakdown the subject, make it interesting, and fun, is second to none. Aside from the obvious improvement within the exam sphere, he has instilled a genuine curiosity in a subject that can generally be difficult to add colour to, especially where kids are concerned.
Perhaps the biggest compliment I can pay him is that there is never a roll-of-the-eyes or protestation when it is time to log on.
Through recommended, though not if it makes him so popular that we lose our slots!!

I am so delighted we found Pat. My daughter was having a slight maths crisis 6 months before her GCSEs. I contacted Pat and he immediately understood her maths anxiety and was confident he could help. And he really did. My daughter hated maths but actually looked forward to her sessions with Pat. He did so much more than help her with her maths too. He gave relaxation tips and lots of good information about how to get through exams as well as awesome work and confidence building with maths. Pat really cares about his students and what's important to them and takes his time to get to know them. While my daughter was absolutely delighted to get the grade she needed thanks to Pat's help and that she would never have to do maths again she was gutted not to be meeting with Pat on a weekly basis.

Thank you Pat. You made a real difference

My son started with Pat for GCSE maths just before Christmas. Pat made a huge difference to Guy - they got on very well, and he instilled calm and confidence. We are so pleased with Guy’s result too.

The quality of Patrick's GCSE tuition is superb. His friendly and encouraging manner meant that our daughter Maddy actually looked forward to their sessions - because as her ability grew, so too did her self-esteem and confidence - this was huge for her, (and us as parents).

What Patrick does so well, is he works together with your child - they become a team, and their targets are set collaboratively and realistically.

He is one of those exceptionally positive tutors who can relate to young people of all personality type, and of all ability. Yes, he can simplify tricky Maths concepts, but what we also really appreciated, was the value he places on the act of learning itself, and the priority he places on your child's individuality.
